With your help,
hope is within reach.
Right now, there are young people who need hope. Your support helps break down the barriers holding them back.
The Need
Young people, especially those from underrepresented communities, face financial hardship, family stressors, parent/guardian illness, neighborhood violence, or an underperforming school—significant barriers to realizing their potential.
Our Approach
We’re with our scholars and their families for the long-term—middle school through career launch. Through Residential and Academy settings, we equip them with life preparedness, empowered learning, personal development, leadership & service, and college & career readiness.
The HOPE You Provide
Your gift is an investment in our programming, scholarships, and career pathways that directly and deeply benefit young people in Pittsburgh who have tremendous ability and just need the opportunity.
Memorial Funds
Turn remembrance into lasting impact by establishing a memorial fund in honor of someone you love. Contact us to learn how to create a fund that carries their legacy forward.Â
Below, learn more about two memorial funds created by loved ones to honor lives well remembered.

The Sister Donna Marie Tahaney Memorial Fund
Sister Donna Marie Tahaney, CSJ, not only played an instrumental role in the creation of Girls Hope, but she also acted as the organization’s first Executive Director. Following her time as the organization’s leader, she continued to stay immensely involved with the program as she mentored our collegiate scholars.

The Madeline Todd Brown Memorial Fund
Created in loving memory of Madeline Todd Brown, who was lost at 36 weeks but deeply loved and cherished, this fund ensures her legacy continues by supporting young girls through Hope Ignites Pittsburgh.

NAME CHANGE AND DONATIONS
We’re so grateful for your support of Hope Ignites Pittsburgh, formerly Boys Hope Girls Hope of Pittsburgh! As we work through our legal name change with the Internal Revenue Service, we need your help to ensure gifts reach us without delay.
We’ve seen some confusion in online giving portals during this transition. While we’re updating our name to Hope Ignites in these systems, some portals and donor-advised fund (DAF) databases may still list us as Boys Hope Girls Hope until the IRS change is complete. Please double-check the name, address, and EIN before you give:
Name: Hope Ignites Pittsburgh (or Boys Hope Girls Hope of Pittsburgh)
EIN: 25-1625524
Once your gift is made, you can help us with one additional step—email Ali Brush at Ali.Brush@hopeignites.org so we can confirm it’s been received and applied as intended.
Thank you for standing with us during this transition—we couldn’t do this without you
